Dear countrymen,

Today, August 19th, marks the 105th anniversary of our country’s independence. On this day in 1919, our brave and proud nation ended British rule and restored our freedom and sovereignty. This day is a significant milestone in our history, and every Afghan takes pride in it.

By God’s grace, our nation has overcome many challenges and difficulties, and we look to the future with hope and confidence. Even today, across every part of Afghanistan, the celebration of this day shows the deep love for freedom and independence that is part of our national character.

May our country always remain free, prosperous, and sovereign.
