Requirements of Marriage Certificate

Presence

Both husband and wife and two adult witnesses MUST be present at the Consulate General to apply for a marriage certificate.
Marriage Certificate Form (فورمه زوجیت خط)
This form needs to be completed in the Consulate General.
Required Documents and Witnesses

The following persons and documents MUST be present at the Consulate General during your appointment.

Proof of Identity

One copy of Tazkira or Afghan Passport of both applicants;
One copy of Tazkira or Afghan passport of each witness; and
One copy of UAE residence visa of the applicants and witnesses.

Photographs

Two recent photographs of both applicants; and
Two recent photographs of each witness (size: 3×4 cm).

Witnesses (شاهدان)

Two adult witnesses should be present at the time of appointment along with the applicants.
Both witnesses should have their proof of identities and photographs ready as stated in paragraph A and B.

Fees

An applicant should pay 50 USD for ONE application

Procedure

Once the applicants visit the Consulate General, the proof of identity and all documents will be checked at the front desk. If all the required documents are complete and both husband and wife and 2 adult witnesses are present, the process of preparing a Marriage Certificate will be initiated.

The Marriage Certificate will be issued and given to the applicants on the same day.
